And to answer:
Sa simbahan. (to church) or
Pupunta ako ng simbahan. (I'm going to church.)
Sometimes, you can answer in a vague manner because Filipinos really don't expect an accurate answer to this question at all times. This question is another way of greeting someone among Filipinos. It is one of the rhetorical questions/expressions in the Philippines. So you can answer in a vague manner like the one above.
The next time someone asks you where you are going, you don't need to tell them you are going to the bank (bangko). You can just say, 'Dito lang.' 'Doon lang.' or Diyan lang.
