Tagalog Vocabulary: Nilay-nilay - to reflect about something

Hi Folks, I neglected to make a short blog entry of this important Tagalog Semana Santa vocabulary.  

Nilay-nilay  means to reflect about something.

Here are some common uses:

Pagnilay-nilayan mo ang mga binabalak mong gawin.  

Reflect about the things you are planning to make.

Magninilay-nilay ako habang pinapanood ang buwan.

I will reflect while watching the moon.

Nagninilay-nilay ako sa ating mga nakaraan sa tuwing sumasapit ang ating anibersaryo.

I reflect about our past whenever it's our anniversary. 

The Observance of the Holy Week is a time for us to reflect on our sins.   May we all have a blessed Holy Week.
